
Goria Tabbed as MAAC Runner of the Week

Freshman Shannon Goria receives first MAAC honor
HAMDEN, Conn. – Freshman Shannon Goria was named the MAAC Runner of the Week for competition from Aug. 25 – Sept. 1, as announced by the league on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
She led the Bobcats at the Stony Brook Invitational with a fifth-place finish overall in the 4k race. She recorded a time of 15:17.92 in her first collegiate meet as a Bobcat. Goria was named the first MAAC Runner of the Week for the 2019 season.
This is the first MAAC honor that Goria has received and first for the team since last season when senior Morgan Voight was named the runner of the week on Oct. 10, 2018.
Quinnipiac will be back in action this weekend, as the team competes at Bryant's Shawn Nassaney Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 7.
