Women's Cross Country Takes Third at Henry Mercer Invitational

HOLMDEL, N.J.. - The Quinnipiac women's cross country team finished in third place out of 14 teams at the 25th Annual Henry Mercer Invitational hosted by Monmouth. At Holmdel Park, senior Meghan Curtin led the Bobcats with a 16th place finish in the 5k race with a time of 19:05.94.

RESULTS

Following closely behind Curtin, senior Morgan Voight placed in 17th with a time 19:07.66. This is the second meet in a row that Curtin and Voight have taken the top two spots for the Bobcats.
Sophomore Emily Young was right behind Curtin and Voight in 18th (19:07.65).
Freshman Shannon Goria took 24th with a time of 19:18.32.
In 28th place, freshman Clare Veverka recorded a time of 19:21.74.
Senior Amy Laverty took 38th with a time of 19:43.10.
Freshman Marisa Keiser tallied a 40th place finish (19:44.21).
In 43rd place, junior Brooke Hagen recorded a time of 19:46.13.
Junior Amanda Carlson took 61st place (20:13.68), and sophomore Kate Gihorski placed in 63rd with a time of 20:14.87.
In 65th place, senior Ellie Songer finished with a time of 20:18.15, and junior Danielle Marcone finished in 66th (20:20.50).
Sophomore Katie Bradley recorded a time of in 20:45.32 in 72nd place.
Senior Sara Wilcox tallied a time of 20:52.52 in 85th place, and sophomore Madeleine Shellard took 86th place (20:55.88).
Junior Samantha Leal placed in 99th (21:19.18).
