Women's Cross Country Takes 33rd at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Quinnipiac women's cross country team finished in 33rd out of 41 teams at the 46th Annual Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University. The Bobcats competed in two different divisions on Saturday - the Women's Open 6k and the Women's College Gold 6k.
Over 300 athletes competed in the Women's College Gold division with 41 teams total. Queen's University took first place overall as a team with 128 points.

- Senior Morgan Voight finished first for the Bobcats in the Women's College Gold division with a time of 21:27.2 in 125th place.
- Sophomore Emily Young took 138th place (21:32.5), and senior Meghan Curtin placed in 157th with a time of 21:43.5.
- Junior Brooke Hagen tallied a time of 22:24.8 in 251st place.
- Senior Kaitlin Bakas recorded a time of 22:25.0 in 251st place.
- In 255th place, freshman Clare Veverka recorded a time of 22:25.3.
- Senior Amy Laverty placed in 262nd with a time of 22:31.7 in the 6k.
- Freshman Marisa Keiser recorded a time of 23:02.6, and junior Amanda Carlson tallied a time of 23:20.9.
- Sophomore Katie Bradley took 88th in the open race with a time of 23:05.6.
- Junior Samantha Leal recorded a time of 23:40.3 in 131st place.
- Junior Danielle Marcone tallied a time of 23:55.3 in 152nd place.
- In 244th, freshman Cassidy Phillips ran for a time of 25:08.4.
The Bobcats will race at the New England Championships next Saturday, Oct. 12.
