Bobcats Advance to MAAC Semifinals for Sixth Consecutive Season

ALBANY, N.Y. – Three Quinnipiac basketball players scored in double figures Friday afternoon as the Bobcats advanced to the MAAC Women's Basketball Tournament Semifinals with a 63-48 victory over the No. 9 seed Fairfield Stags at the Times Union Center.

Quinnipiac's victory extended its overall winning streak to 19 games while its winning streak against MAAC opponents hit 50 consecutive games.

Aryn McClure (Springfield Gardens, New York) filled the stat sheet for the Bobcats as she tallied 15 points with six assists and four rebounds while Jen Fay (Lynbrook, New York) chipped in 13 points and six rebounds and Brittany Martin (Sicklerville, New Jersey) added 12 points in the winning effort.

The Bobcats jumped out to an early 12-0 lead in the first 4:56 of Friday's quarterfinal game and added a separate 11-0 lead from the third quarter into the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach against the Stags.

Quinnipiac has reached the MAAC Semifinals all six years since the Bobcats joined the conference and have now made eight straight conference semifinal appearances dating back to the 2011-12 season when they were in the Northeast Conference
Strautmane recorded her 200^th career block in the quarterfinal win and is just the fourth Quinnipiac player in program history to record 200+ blocks.
