Bobcats use a 19-7 Fourth Quarter to Earn 40th MAAC Win in a Row
WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Quinnipiac women's basketball faced its toughest MAAC test of the season, in the Monmouth Hawks, but used a 19-7 fourth quarter to earn its ninth-straight win on Friday evening.
Four players finished in double digits, with Paula Strautmane leading the team with 14 points in the win.

- The Bobcats opened the game with a strong defensive effort once again, holding Monmouth to nine points and forcing seven turnovers in the first quarter.
- After the Hawks tied the game at 19 midway through the second quarter, the Bobcats finished the half on an 8-0 run to take a 27-19 lead into the break.
- Monmouth shot nearly 50 percent in the third quarter, while the Bobcats went 2-for-14 and saw their eight-point lead evaporate.
- The Hawks broke a fourth quarter tie with a layup in the opening two minutes, but Quinnipiac's defense locked down and held Monmouth scoreless for the next 3:57. The 7-2 run opened up a five-point lead for the Bobcats which they would not relinquish.
- The Bobcats outscored Monmouth, 19-7, in the fourth quarter to earn a 12-point victory.
- Quinnipiac extended its winning streak to nine games and remain the only unbeaten team in the MAAC.
- The Bobcats allowed fewer than 50 points for the tenth time this season and eighth time in nine conference games.
- Strautmane, Taylor Herd (11 points), Aryn McClure (12 points), and Paige Warfel (10 points) all hit double figures for the Bobcats.
- Warfel reached double digits for the third-straight game and added seven rebounds, three assists, a block, and a steal.
- The 12-point effort was the eighth double-digit game for Aryn McClure since Christmas (10 games).
- As a team, the Bobcats only committed seven turnovers, the second-consecutive game with less than 10 giveaways.
- The Quinnipiac defense forced 22 more turnovers. It is the 13th time this season that a Quinnipiac opponent has committed at least 20 turnovers and the sixth in a row.
