COLLEGE PARK, Md. – First-year forward Cur'Tiera Haywood had nine point and four rebounds on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting day, but Quinnipiac women's basketball was defeated, 107-52, by #9/10 Maryland at the Xfinity Center on Sunday afternoon.

GAME SUMMARY

First-year guard Sajada Bonner opened the game with a three-pointer off of a drive-and-kick assist from junior Shaq Edwards.
Maryland responded with a 13-0 run over the next four minutes that forced a Quinnipiac timeout with 5:14 left to play in the first quarter.
After the Terps opened up a 31-10 lead in the second quarter, Haywood scored five quick points to spark a 9-4 Quinnipiac run that cut the deficit to 35-19 with 4:22 left in the frame.
Maryland outscored Quinnipiac, 33-4, in the third quarter to break the game open.
The Bobcats shot 50% from the floor in the fourth quarter with three three-pointers and scored a game-high 24 points in the period.
