Three Players Score in Double Figures in Win Over Bucknell
HAMDEN, Conn. – Senior Paige Warfel recorded her second double-double of the season and led Quinnipiac to against Bucknell on Saturday afternoon at the People's United Center.
Warfel tallied 17 points, 11 rebounds, and a career-high five assists in the win, coming up one point short of tying her career mark in points.
Quinnipiac junior Shaq Edwards reached double digits for the third consecutive game, recording 14 points along with two rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Bucknell forward Ellie Mack scored a game-high 33 points on 14-23 shooting in the loss.

- The Bobcats came out with a purpose in the game's early stages and took a 12-5 lead into the first media timeout. Warfel had four points, a rebound, an assist, and drew a charge in the first three minutes.
- Bucknell scored the last two baskets of the quarter to pull within two and then tied it at 21 on a layup by Mack at 7:23 of the second quarter.
- Quinnipiac proceeded to open up a 11-point lead thanks to a 19-8 run that ended the first half.
- The Bobcats maintained a ten-point lead through most of the third quarter, but Bucknell's Marly Walls ended the frame with a jumper to pull the team with eight.
- The Bobcats' lead grew to 12 points after two Warfel free throws with 8:06 to play before Bucknell made a run to cut the lead back to five points (65-60) with 2:33 remaining in the game.
- Quinnipiac sophomore Amani Free picked up a loose ball and hit a knock-down three with 1:57 left.
- The Bison brought the deficit back to five in the waning seconds of the game, but Quinnipiac iced the game with free throws to close out the win.
- Warfel's double-double is her second in three games this season. The senior had two double-doubles all season a year ago.
- Junior Chiara Bacchini returned to the lineup after missing 11 months with an injury. The Parma, Italy native scored five points in her first appearance since December 8, 2018.
- The Bobcats had ten different point scorers in the game which saw all 11 healthy players log playing time.
- Quinnipiac hit eight three-pointers in the game, its most this season and second-highest total in the program's last 13 games.
- The Bobcats outrebounded their opponent for the second game in a row, outboarding the Bison by a 38-28 margin.
- Quinnipiac led for 38:50 of the game, thanks in large part to 24 bench points compared to Bucknell's eight.
- The Bobcats are off for a week before heading to College Park, Maryland to take on the #8-ranked Maryland Terrapins at the Xfinity Center on Sunday, November 24.
