Savion Lewis Scores 16 Points in Second Career Game
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Quinnipiac men's basketball fell in non-conference play at Miami, 80-52, on Saturday afternoon at the Watsco Center.
First-year guard Savion Lewis led the way with 16 points, and Jacob Rigoni added 13. The Bobcats trailed by just five points at the break after forcing Miami to shoot just 12-of-37 (32.4 percent) from the floor.

- Quinnipiac opened the game on an 8-4 run over the first 4:12. Kevin Marfo, Jacob Rigoni and Rich Kelly all scored over the first four-plus minutes, as the Bobcats opened the game 3-of-5 from the floor.
- The Bobcats finished the first half 9-of-30 from the floor, out-rebounding the Hurricanes 23-22. Miami led 29-24 at the break.
- Savion Lewis scored 16 points on 8-of-13 shooting, while also adding three rebounds and one assist. The redshirt first-year guard now has 22 points over his first two collegiate games.
- Jacob Rigoni's 13 points came on 5-of-12 shooting from the floor, as the junior knocked down a team-high three shots from distance.
- Kevin Marfo chipped in with nine points and 13 rebounds. The redshirt junior went 5-for-8 from the free throw line, while Rich Kelly added seven points and four rebounds.
- The Bobcats shot 20-of-63 (31.7 percent) from the floor in total, and knocked down five shots from range.
- Miami out-rebounded the Bobcats 45-41. The Hurricanes were led by 22 points from Kameron McGusty.
- Quinnipiac will now return to Hamden and turn its attention to the Bobcats Invitational – a four-team three-day event at the People's United Center. Quinnipiac will face Albany on Friday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m., then will square off with Presbyterian on Nov. 23 and Sacred Heart on Nov. 24.
