Women's Ice Hockey Downs RPI, 4-0
TROY, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey downed the RPI Engineers, 4-0, on Friday night at Houston Field House. Four Bobcats scored in the win, including first-year Kenzie Hauswirth, juniors Brooke Bonsteel and Laura Lundblad and senior Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout. Senior netminder Abbie Ives notched her second shutout of the season and made 14 saves.

- (3:54, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, RPI 0: First-year Kenzie Hauswirth scored the Bobcats' first goal in the opening five minutes of the first period. Junior Renee Saltness shot and got her own rebound behind the goal and passed it to Hauswirth above the crease. Junior Grace Markey also tallied an assist on the play.
- (11:43, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, RPI 0: The Bobcats took a 2-0 lead in the first period after junior Brooke Bonsteel scored her second goal of the year in the left circle. First-year Sadie Peart also tallied a helper on the goal.
- (17:50, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 3, RPI 0: Senior Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout scored her fourth goal of the year off a rebound from a shot by sophomore Lexie Adzija. Peart added her second assist of the day on the goal.
- (19:46, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 4, RPI 0: Junior Laura Lundblad scored her first goal of the season on a beautiful goal set up by Bonsteel and first-year Alexa Hoskin. Bonsteel passed to Hoskin on the left side near the circle, and Hoskin hit is backwards to Lundblad streaking in on the right back-door. The junior buried it first time past RPI's Ena Nystrom.
- Four different Bobcats scored in the shutout win.
- Coutu-Godbout is now tied with junior Taylor House with four goals to lead the team.
- Hauswirth tallied her third goal of the season and now has four points.
- Bonsteel had a goal and an assist for two points in the win and her first multi-point game of the season.
- Peart tallied two assists for her second multi-point game of the season.
- Lundblad scored her first goal of the year and now has two points on the season.
- The Bobcats recorded a new season-high 48 shots against the Engineers. Quinnipiac limited RPI to just 14 shots on goal.
- Quinnipiac was perfect on the power play and has not allowed a power play goal in four straight games.
- Bonsteel and Adzija had seven shots each to lead the team.
- Ives made 14 saves and recorded her second shutout of the season.
- Quinnipiac will travel down the road to Schenectady, N.Y., to take on the Union Dutchwomen on Saturday, Nov. 16. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m.
