The Bobcats Celebrated Senior Day After the Match
HAMDEN, Conn – The Quinnipiac volleyball team fell to the Rider Broncs in straight sets on Sunday afternoon.
After the match, the Bobcats honored their four seniors, Alejandra Rodriguez, Lauren Miller, Maria Pansari and Kaleigh Oates.

Rider 3, Quinnipiac 0 (27-25, 25-13, 25-18.)

SET ONE
The points were traded between the two teams for the majority of the first set, which led to the score being tied at 15. Quinnipiac won the first two points after that tie, but Rider won four of the next five points, including a 3-0 run, which gave them a 19-18 lead, resulting in a Quinnipiac timeout. Out of the timeout, the Bobcats won four straight points, which gave them a 22-20 lead. The Rider called a timeout with the Bobcats leading 23-21. Quinnipiac won the next point out of the timeout to give them set point, but Rider won two straight points to cut their deficit to 24-23, leading to a Quinnipiac timeout. Rider won four of the next five points out of the timeout to take the set 27-25.
SET TWO
The set was tied a 5-5, but Rider went on a 3-0 run to take an 8-5 lead. Rider pushed their lead out to 11-7, forcing Quinnipiac to call their first timeout of the set. Quinnipiac won the first two points out of the timeout. Rider went on a run to take a 19-13 lead, resulting in a Quinnipiac timeout. Rider came out of the timeout and won six straight points to take the set 25-13.
SET THREE
Rider went on a 4-0 run to take an early 7-3 lead in the set. The teams traded the next eight points, which gave Rider an 11-7 lead, resulting in a Quinnipiac timeout. The Broncs went on a 3-0 run to give them a 17-11 lead. Rider would hold that large of a lead through the middle of the set until Rider went on a 3-0 run to take a 21-14 lead. The teams traded the final eight points and Rider took the set 25-18 to win the match three sets to none.
