Women's Cross Country to Race at New England Championships

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's cross country program is set to race at the New England Championships in Boston, Mass., on Saturday, Oct. 12. The race will be held at Franklin Park. It is the 107th Annual New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Championship race. The meet has been taking place at Franklin Park since 1914.
Four Bobcats placed in the top 25 runners at the 2018 New England Championships last year. Senior Morgan Voight took 12th place in the meet in 2018 with a time of 18:19.78. In addition, senior Kaitlin Bakas recorded a 16th place finish in last year's meet with a time of 18:26.39. Senior Meghan Curtin recorded a 20th place finish (18:39.29), and senior Ellie Songer took 21st (18:40.74).
The Bobcats are coming off a 33rd finish at Lehigh's Paul Short Run on Saturday, Oct. 5. Voight finished at the top for the Bobcats with a time of 21:27.2 in 125th place.
