PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Quinnipiac field hockey fell to the No. 25 Providence Friars 3-2 in a shootout on Friday night.

- 8:08 (Providence 1, Quinnipiac 0): The Friars capitalized off a Bobcat turnover in their defensive zone. Providence's Niamh Gowing picked up the ball and ran it into the Bobcat's zone and found a streaking Izzy Mendez who shot it past Freshman Goalkeeper Mack Vorel.
- 29:29 (Quinnipiac 1, Providence 1): Senior Forward Amanda Blum picked up the ball from a Providence turnover and weaved through the Friar defense to tie the game up at one, late in the second quarter.
- 48:59 (Quinnipiac 2, Providence 1): Freshman forward Julianna Cappello struck for her third goal of the season with a shot that was deflected in by a Providence defender to take the lead for the Bobcats.
- 49:57 (Quinnipiac 2, Providence 2): The Friars answered right back with a penalty stroke goal from Allyson Parker.
