ORONO, Maine. – The Quinnipiac field hockey team fell to the Maine Black Bears, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon in Orono. Freshman Mack Vorel made seven saves with one goal against through 30 minutes of play.

- 9:43 (Maine 1, Quinnipiac 0): The Black Bears scored the first goal of the game in the ninth minute. Chole Walton received a pass from the outside from Hana Davis inside the circle. Walton shot to the top left of the goal past Quinnipiac's Hedda Biermann-Ratjen to give Maine the 1-0 lead.
- 12:05 (Maine 2, Quinnipiac 0): Morgan Anson scored the Black Bear's second goal of the day off a penalty corner. Anson received a short pass from Maine's Riley Field and shot from the right side of the circle past Biermann-Ratjen.
- 16:17 (Maine 3, Quinnipiac 0): Brianna Ricker scored the Black Bear's third goal of the half off a pass from Nina Keur. Ricker scored on the bottom right corner past Biermann-Ratjen.
- 48:02 (Maine 4, Quinnipiac 0): Kelsey Mehuren scored a penalty stroke in the fourth quarter to give the Black Bears a 4-0 lead.
- Bianka Strubbe had the Bobcats' two shots with one on goal.
- Maine outshot Quinnipiac 19-2.
- Vorel made all seven saves in the second half of Sunday's game and now leads the Bobcats with a .767 save percentage to go with 33 total saves in six games.
