HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac University and Quinnipiac SAAC will host Boomer's Boo Bash, a Halloween-themed community event, on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the academic quadrangle of Quinnipiac's Mount Carmel Campus. This event is free and open to the public.
Attendees can participate in various fall activities and game booths run by student-athletes and student organizations while enjoying food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, trick-or-treating, prizes and more. Halloween costumes are encouraged. Quinnipiac also will accept nonperishable food donations for the Hamden Food Bank during the event.
"We are so pleased to invite community members, especially those from our hometowns of Hamden and North Haven, to this celebration," said Bethany Zemba, vice president and chief of staff. "We hope to see visitors of all ages attend—from those who love costumes and candy, to those who'd like to see our outstanding fall athletes compete. We welcome everyone to this season-inspired event."
In addition, to support sustainability efforts in the community, representatives from ProShred, a paper shredding company, and Green Monster Recycling will be at Quinnipiac to offer complimentary document shredding and electronic recycling services from 9 a.m. to noon.
Five Quinnipiac athletic teams will play that day, including men's soccer and tennis, women's rugby, ice hockey and volleyball.
