Bobcats Drop First Home Game Since Nov. 10, Priskie Extends Point Streak to Six Games
HAMDEN, Conn. – Colgate's Jeff Stewart scored the game-winning goal 2:49 into overtime Friday night as the Raiders beat the No. 3/5 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team at Frank Perrotti Jr. Arena.
The Raiders scored two unanswered goals in the third period to force overtime before completing the comeback midway through the overtime period.
Brandon Fortunato (North Hills, New York) led all skaters with three points on three assists in the game while Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minnesota) netted his 11th goal of the season for the Bobcats. Scott Davidson (Trail, British Columbia), Wyatt Bongiovanni (Birmingham, Michigan) and William Fällström (Stockholm, Sweden) all scored for the Bobcats.

- (1:06, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 1, Colgate 0: Fällström put home his fourth goal of the season after Whelan stole the puck off a Colgate stick in the offensive zone, circled the net and fired the puck back out to Fällström waiting on the back door.
- (5:56, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 2, Colgate 0: Bongiovanni doubled the Bobcats lead with an impressive tip in front of the net. Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) fired the puck across the zone to Brandon Fortunato (North Hills, New York) who's shot was redirected by Bongiovanni for the goal.
- (11:26, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 3, Colgate 0: Fortunato was involved in the Bobcats final goal of the third period as he carried the puck into the left side of the zone before turning around to find Davidson on the back door for his second of the season
- (14:23, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 3, Colgate 1: The Raiders got their first goal of the game late in the first period as Trevor Cosgrove scored for the Raiders right on the doorstep for his third of the season
- (4:39, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 3, Colgate 2: Hunter Racine pulled the Raiders within a goal early in the second period with a tip on a shot in front from Willie Brooks at the left point.
- (00:42, 3rd period) – Quinnipiac 4, Colgate 2: Tufto put the Bobcats back up by a pair of goals on the power play just 42 second into the second period as Fortunato flung the puck from the right circle to Tufto waiting on the left post to tap home the goal.
- (4:15, 3rd period) – Quinnipiac 4, Colgate 3: Nick Austin got another goal back for the Raiders early in the third period as the sophomore defenseman fired home the puck from just above the right faceoff circle to beat Quinnipiac starting goaltender Keith Petruzzelli two seconds into a seven-second power play.
- (7:06, 3rd period) – Quinnipiac 4, Colgate 4: Willie Brooks tied the game for Colgate less than three minutes later as Josh McKechney found him with a centering pass before Brooks wristed the puck home.
- (2:49, Overtime) - Quinnipiac 4, Colgate 5: Stewart buried the game-winning goal for the Raiders after Colgate started the breakout in the defensive end. Jeanson found Ben Sharf with a pass on the right wing where he hit Stewart in the slot with a centering feed. Stewart deked Quinnipiac goaltender Andrew Shortridge and beat him with the backhand to win the game.
- Tufto recorded a point for a third straight game to pick up his 11th goal of the season, maintaining his position as fourth in the nation with 27 points
- Bongiovanni picked up his eighth goal of the season to move into a tie for first in the nation among freshman while his tally was his third power-play goal of the season.
- Fällström started off the scoring Friday night with his fourth goal of the season, his first since scoring at Harvard to open league play on Nov. 2
- Davidson's tally was his second of the season and 14th of his career
- Fortunato's three-assist night was his fifth multi-point game of the season
- Priskie recorded a pair of assists to extend his point streak to six games, his second point streak of six-or-more games
- His pair of assists also gives him four two-assist games on the season and nine multi-point games on the season
- Whelan recorded his sixth of the season and 12th point of the year to give him four points in the last five games
- Burgart recorded an assist for his second straight game with a point
- Andrew Shortridge (Anchorage, Alaska) recorded seven saves in relief Saturday night, coming into the game midway through the third period after Keith Petruzzelli (Wilbraham, Massachusetts) had 17 saves on 21 shots in 47:06.
- The No. 3/5 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team takes on the No. 20 Cornell Big Red Saturday night with puck drop set for 7 p.m.
