Quinnipiac defense forces 31 turnovers in 37th-straight MAAC win
BUFFALO, N.Y. – Junior Taylor Herd scored a career-high 21 points and the defense forced 31 turnovers, as Quinnipiac improved to 6-0 in MAAC play with a 55-42 win at Canisius on Sunday afternoon.
The win is the 37th consecutive win in MAAC play for the Bobcats and 13th in a row over Canisius.

- Herd scored nine points in the first quarter to pace the Bobcats to an early 16-10 advantage. The junior connected on one three-pointer, along with two layups and a pair of free throws.
- In the second quarter the Bobcats defense held the Golden Griffins to nine points, marking the 13th time this season that an opponent has failed to score ten points in a quarter.
- Like the second quarter, Quinnipiac scored 13 points in both the third and fourth frames, outscoring Canisius by three in the second half. Canisius' 42 points was the third-lowest point total of any Quinnipiac opponent this season.
- Herd's career-high day was her seventh game with 10+ points this season. The junior is averaging 9.7 points per game. She added four rebounds and two assists on the afternoon.
- Jen Fay posted her fifth double-digit game in her last six outings, tallying 15 points, five rebounds, five steals, and four assists. She reached two milestones on the day, picking up the 200th assist and 600th rebound of her career.
- The Bobcats forced 31 turnovers and ripped away 17 steals in another strong defensive performance.
- 24 was the magic number for the Bobcats, posting 24 bench points, points in the paint, and points off turnovers.
- Quinnipiac was out-rebounded by the Golden Griffins, 36-33, for the first time in MAAC competition.
