- The Bobcats scored 36 points in the first quarter, the team's highest point total in a quarter since the NCAA switched from halves to quarters prior to the 2015-16 season.
- The team was 15-21 (71.4%) from the field in the opening frame, including 5-6 from long distance. The last time the Bobcats scored 30+ in a quarter was in the fourth quarter of last season's NCAA Tournament First Round win over #8-seeded Miami.
- Quinnipiac scored 53 points in the first half, marking the first time this season that the team has reached 50 in a half. This occurred twice last season, once in the same NCAA Tournament game against Miami, and earlier in the season on the road at Niagara.
- The Bobcats scored 30 points in the third quarter, shooting an even 50% (11-22) from the floor. This is the first time since switching to quarters that the Bobcats have tallied multiple 30+ point quarters in the same game.
- With the game in hand, the offense stalled a bit in the fourth quarter, but the Bobcats still posted their highest point total since scoring 96 on February 7, 2015 against Rider.
- Strautmane set new season-highs in points and assists, just one game after reaching the 1,000-point milestone for her career.
- Senior Edel Thornton's (Gurranabraher, Ireland) season-high 15 points was one point shy of her career high. She knocked down a season-best three three-pointers in the win.
- Redshirt senior Jen Fay (Lynbrook, New York) packed the box score once again, posting 13 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and four steals. Her 7:1 assist to turnover ratio raises her MAAC-leading season mark to 2.27. She tied her season highs in assists and steals and is now one rebound and one assist shy of 600 rebounds and 200 assists in her career.
- Seniors Brittany Martin (Sicklerville, New Jersey) and Aryn McClure (Springfield Gardens, New York) and junior Paige Warfel (Chester Springs, Pennsylvania) all scored ten points, marking the fifth-straight game that at least four Bobcats have scored in double figures. Warfel added eight rebounds in the effort.
- Freshman Amani Free (Syracuse, New York) had the best game of her young career, picking up nine points, five rebounds, and her first career assist.
- Junior Taylor Herd (Quakertown, Pennsylvania) chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, two steals, and a season-high three assists. She has hit 14 three-pointers in the month of January.
- As a team, the Bobcats shot 48.8 percent from the field and knocked down 10 three-pointers for the third time this season.
- Quinnipiac was dominant defensively, forcing 32 turnovers (19 in the first half), with 12 steals. The Bobcats scored 48 points off turnovers and pulled down 43 rebounds to Niagara's 27.
- 36 consecutive conference victories (including postseason) is the third-longest active streak in the nation and the 17th-longest all-time.
The Bobcats complete the second leg of the western New York trip with Sunday's tilt against the Canisius Golden Griffins. That contest will begin at 2:00 p.m.
