Women's Rugby Falls Against Dartmouth

HAMDEN, Conn – The women's rugby team fell in a rematch of the 2017 NIRA Finals against the Dartmouth Big Green, 40-22. The Bobcats scored three tries Saturday afternoon, with three different Bobcats getting into the scoring action.

- (Dartmouth 7, Quinnipiac 0) 16:00: Sophie Ragg started the scoring for the Big Green with a successful try with 29 minutes remaining. Kat Ramage followed with a successful conversion to push the lead to 7-0.
- (Dartmouth 14, Quinnipiac 0) 19:00: Camille Johnson struck for her sixth try of the 2018 campaign to the push the Dartmouth lead to 14-0 with 26 minutes to play in the opening half. Ramage had her second-straight successful conversion.
- (Dartmouth 21, Quinnipiac 0) 23:00: Emily Henrich had the run of the game with a dominating display across the field to get to the try zone. Ramage scored her 3rd conversion of the game to push the lead to 21-0.

- (Dartmouth 28, Quinnipiac 17) 55:00: Mikah Maples (Mowequa, Illinois) struck for her second successful try of 2018 and cut the Big Green lead back to 11 after Haz scored her second successful conversion of the day.
- Dartmouth 28, Quinnipiac 22) 72:00: Clara Lemal-Brown (Wooster, Ohio) broke free up the right side to bring the Bobcats within six, 28-22, with 18 minutes to play.
- (Dartmouth 35, Quinnipiac 22) 74:00: Ragg stormed the field and struck for another try, her second of the day, to give Dartmouth the two-score lead .Ramage added her fifth-straight successful conversion to push the lead to 13.
- (Dartmouth 40, Quinnipiac 22): Margot Genereux scored her first try of 2018 and gave Dartmouth the 40-22 lead with a minute to play in regulation.
NOTES
- Haz was 2-for-2 on conversion on the day, pushing her total to four successful conversions on the season.
- Maples scored one try on the day, which stood as her first successful try of 2018. She had 12 tries in 2017 including two tries against Dartmouth in the 2017 NIRA National Championship.
- Roskopf ran her first successful try of 2018 and stood as the Bobcats' first try of the day. The captain had nine tries last season.
- Lemal-Brown scored her second try of 2018 to open up her freshman season.
- Lemal-Brown and Maples currently lead the Bobcats with two tries so far through 2018.
