- Quinnipiac was ranked third in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll as announced by the league office this Thursday.
- Quinnipiac is looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses on the road at Brown and Dartmouth.
- Head coach Chris Pappas announced Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New jersey) and Kyle Alper (Dix Hills, New York) as the captains of the Quinnipiac men's tennis team for 2018.
- Rozenstein collected a team-leading eight wins in singles play.
- Rozenstein also started his senior campaign with a win the Flight "A" singles bracket at the UConn Invitational.
- Rozenstein obtained a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 victory over Cimrman from Dartmouth in the opening round of the ITA Main Singles Draw before falling to Mathenson of Columbia in the following round, 6-2, 6-1.
- Freddie Zaretsky (Fair Lawn, New Jersey) collected a 3-1 record in singles play in the first half of the 2017-18 season, with his only loss coming in the opening round of the ITA Regionals.
- Rozenstein and Zaretsky combined for a 6-2 record in doubles play in the fall portion of 2017-18.
- The duo also combined to win the Flight A Doubles bracket at the Quinnipiac Invitational as They collected four wins throughout the weekend.
- Austin Yannone (Severna Park, Maryland) was 6-5 in his first 11 single matches of 2017-18.
- Yannone collected two victories at the Quinnipiac Invitational on his way to winning the Flight B Singles bracket.
- Yannone also collected one victory at the UConn Invitational to kick off the season.
- Hielke Moore (Fredericton, New Brunswick) notched seven wins in singles play and five more in doubles play.
- Moore started his Quinnipiac career with a four-win weekend at the UConn Invitational as he captured the Flight "C" Singles championship 6-0, 6-4.
- Yannone and Moore have combined for a 5-2 record in doubles play so far this season.
- Alex Stern (Tustin, California) obtained seven victories in the fall, including when he collected three wins in the UConn Invitational and one at the Quinnipiac Invitational.
- Stern also struck for three victories in the Singles Draw 3B bracket at the CT State Championships.
- Alper collected four wins during singles play and three more during doubles play in the fall portion of the season.
- Stern and Alper combined for a 8-7(4) victory over Army to advanced to the second round of the Main Draw Doubles Thursday before dropping a hard-fought and close match to Princeton in the following round at the ITA Regionals.
- Patrick Cachapero (Loma Linda, California) went 4-4 in eight singles events and picked up another victory in doubles play.
- Curran is 1-2 in his young career with the Bobcats and looks to make a strong impact on the roster in the spring portion of the schedule.
