LAST GAME (Brown 18, Quinnipiac 7)
- Emily Byrne (Huntington, New York) scored as time expired in the first half to cut Brown's lead to 12-3 heading into halftime and then followed up with her second goal of the game early in the second half. She completed the hat trick with 19:58 to play.
- Byrne's three-goal game was her fifth multiple-point game of her career. The last one came in the MAAC Tournament where Byrne collected two assists against Marist.
- Ashley Bobinski (Kinnelon, New Jersey) picked up her first goal of the season, and also the Bobcats' first goal of 2018 with 16:21 to play in the opening frame. She added another midway through the second half. The second-year Bobcats scored 21 goals as a freshman in 2017. The sophomore had 21 goals in 2017, her first season at Quinnipiac.
- The two-goal game is Ashley Bobinski's seventh multi-goal game of her career and the 10th multiple-point game of her career.
- Loren Antonacci (Smithtown, New York) had a goal and an assist, setting up Ashley Bobinski's goal before scoring herself later in the half.
- Victoria Bobinski (Kinnelon, New Jersey) scored her first goal of the season late in the second half.
- Kiera Kelly (West Islip, New York) led the Bobcats with three ground balls.
- Allison Kuhn (Kingsville, Maryland) had three draw controls to lead Quinnipiac.
STORYLINES HEADING INTO 2018
- Quinnipiac's game against Yale will the be the Bobcats' first game at their brand-new Quinnipiac Lacrosse Stadium.The 1,500-seat facility houses the lacrosse and soccer programs, including new locker rooms for all four teams.
- In the 2018 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, the Bobcats were chosen to finish sixth in the MAAC this season. The top six finishers qualify for the MAAC Tournament, which will be held on Apr. 28 through May 6.
- Quinnipiac had a record-setting 2017 as clinched a berth in the MAAC Tournament berth for the first time in program history with an 11-10 win over Siena on Apr. 19, 2017.
- The Bobcats advanced but fell to Marist, 17-10, in the opening round of the MAAC Tournament.
- Senior defender Kiera Kelly (West Islip, N.Y.) was named to the 2018 Preseason All-MAAC Team, as chosen by the league's coaches.
- Kelly had the strongest season of her career to date for the Bobcats in 2017, tallying 55 ground balls and 40 caused turnovers, which ranked second all-time in Quinnipiac history, while the 55 ground balls placed fourth.
- Her 2.35 caused turnovers per game led the MAAC and ranked ninth in the country while Kelly's 3.24 ground balls per game ranked second in the MAAC and placed her 17th nationally.
- Kelly became the first student-athlete in program history to earn All-ECAC First Team honors with her selection in 2017. She was also the lone representative from the MAAC and one of only seven non-seniors to earn All-ECAC honors last year.
- Ashley Bobinski(Kinnelon, New Jersey) and Haley Everding (Fayetteville, New York) earned their way onto the All-MAAC Rookie Team.
- Bobinski was ranked third in the Bobcats' lineup with 21 goals and collected 31 points for Quinnipiac while playing in all 17 games.
- Everding started all 17 games for Quinnipiac and logged the most minutes for the Bobcats while finishing second in caused turnovers (21) and fourth on the team in ground balls (21).
- Everding finished with the fewest turnovers on the team among players who started at least 10 games
