Bobcats Open 2018-19 Indoor Season at Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Three Bobcats placed first in individual events to lead the team at the Yale Season Opener. Carly Timpson finished first in the weight throw (16.83m) and freshman Symone Foster placed first in her first collegiate meet in the 60m hurdles (8.79). In the 3000m run, senior KaleighRoberts took first with a time of 9:59.08.
Meaghan Scullin finished second in the 400m dash with a time of 58.75. Marist's Debbie Boerke took first place with time of 58.32.
In the 60m hurdles, Foster finished first with a time of 9.06 and freshman Kalli'anaBotelhowas right behind her with a time of 9.10. Foster ran a 8.97 in the preliminary round to qualify for the finals. Botelho also took second in the 200m dash (25.86).
Freshman Caitlyn Halloranfinished third in the 500m dash with a time of 1:18.43. Junior AhmetraDavies took second in the 800m run with a time of 2:17.56.
The 4x800m relay team, which included freshmen Emily Young, Mia Pestle, sophomore Danielle Marconeand junior Melissa Solomon, finished in first place with a time of 9:47.73. The 4x400mteam of freshman Aisha Gay, Halloranand juniors Jillian DiGiacintoand Davies took second place with a time of 4:02.12.

The Bobcats will compete in the Great Dane Invitational on Jan. 12, 2019 to continue the indoor season.
