Women's Track & Field Competes at Sorlien Invitational

KINGSTON, R.I. - Emily Wolff continued her strong senior campaign on the track by leading the Bobcats in the 1-mile event with a first place finish in 5:08.76. Quinnipiac placed three runners in the top five in the 1-mile event, with sophomore Amanda Carlson and junior Kaitlin Bakas in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Field Results
Senior Michaela Mendygral finished eighth in the shot put event with an 11.86m throw in the finals. Junior Meaghan Scullin placed sixth in the long jump finals with a 5.31m leap. Freshman Kalli'ana Botelho took third place in the high jump with a 1.62m leap. In the weight throw, senior Carly Timpson finished in fifth place with a 15.83m throw.
Track Results
Wolff took first place in the 1-mile finals with a time of 5:08.76. Carlson was not far behind finishing in fourth place (5:19.28), and junior Kaitlin Bakas finished in fifth place (5:22.03). Freshman Symone Foster placed third in the 60m hurdle finals with a time of 8.87. Junior Ahmetra Davis took second place in the 500m run with a time of 1:17.88, and junior Meghan Curtin was right behind in fourth place with a time of 1:19.58. In the 600m run, freshman Caitlyn Halloran finished in sixth place (1:01.56). In the 60m dash, Botelho finished in fifth place with a time of 7.89. Senior Kaleigh Roberts placed second in the 1000m run with a time of 2:59.52. Freshman Madeleine Shellard recorded a third place finish in the 3000m run (10:55.27).

The Bobcats will travel to Boston, Mass. to compete in the Terrier Invited hosted by Boston University on Jan. 25.
