NOTES
Head Coach Becca Main
On Friday's game:
"Some of our individual skill work came in handy at the end to put us back into the game but as a group we're just a little frustrated with how the game went and with the output. For us to move forward on the back side of the ball and to try to get to the front again and have a lot to do this month in terms of beating the next three teams that we play.
"That's something we're going to dig in for and dive into, and I imagine as we deep-dive into it we're going to come out on the other side of it because we have the opportunity as a team and the skill level of a team that we're pleased with moving forward."
On Brooke Whipkey:
You have to be born with the ability to put the ball in the net. You really can't teach somebody, you can teach a team to learn to put it in, and she is somebody that's been born with it. That's the way she was with soccer, that's the way she is with field hockey and that's the way she takes challenges on in life and she finishes them. She's a true scorer. She had made a mistake about two seconds before and I could sense her brain that she wanted the ball and to put it away, which she did.
