HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac volleyball team continues their seven-match homestand against Fairfield on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m., at Burt Kahn Court. The Bobcats lost a five-set battle earlier in the season against the Stags.
Scouting the Stags
The Stags will come to Hamden after a 1-1 weekend defeating Saint Peter's and losing to Rider. Fairfield sits in third place in the MAAC standings behind Iona and Canisius. The Stags are averaging 12.37 kills per set, which ranks third overall, and 16.32 digs per set, which ranks second in conference. Alexis Rich ranks second in the conference with 10.37 assists per set. Taylor Rudeen is averaging 4.68 digs per set, which ranks third in the conference.
Recapping the Bobcats' Weekend
Quinnipiac defeated the Saint Peter's Peacocks, 3-0, at home on Saturday, Oct. 20. Kat Miller recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 10 kills and 13 digs. Morgan Sherwin notched a .452 hitting percentage and recorded double-digit kills with 15.
Against Rider, Quinnipiac fell 3-1, despite Miller's 11th double-double of the year. She had 17 kills, 13 digs and six blocks in the loss.
Looking at the MAAC
Iona still holds the top spot in the MAAC with an 11-1 conference record. Canisius has moved to the second spot and Fairfield stands in third. Marist, Niagara and Rider make up the middle of the pack and Quinnipiac, Saint Peter's, Manhattan and Siena are the bottom four. Canisius has the best hitting percentage in the MAAC with a .244, and Iona is averaging 14.31 kills per set.

Gabby Horman is ranked second in the MAAC with 73 total blocks and is second overall with 0.94 blocks per set. Kat Miller is ranked fourth with 69 total blocks on the season. Miller jumps to second in conference with 325 points recorded this season. Morgan Sherwinranks right behind Miller with 294 points. Pansari improves to second overall in conference with 832 assists on the season.
Pansari Hits 3,000
Pansari has recorded 3,138 assists in her three-year career as a Bobcat. She currently ranks third on the program's all-time career assists list. Kayla Lawler '12 stands in second with 3,431 career assists and Jen McClain holds the top spot with 4,519 assists.
Miller Time
Kat Miller has recorded 11 double-doubles on the season. She has tallied double-digit kills in three matches in a row. She now has 1,101 digs on her career, which moves her to the fourth spot on the all-time career records list. On the serve, Miller has recorded 38 aces, averaging 0.47 per set, which leads the MAAC and is ranked 16th in the country.
