NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac women's tennis returns to action on Thursday, as four Bobcats are set to participate in the ITA Regionals at Yale. Kamilla Nella will participate in qualifying singles action, Dominique Vasile is in the main draw for singles, and Jennifer Lu/Payton Bradley and Kamilla Nella/Layla Rodriguez will participate in the main draw for doubles.
ABOUT THE ITA REGIONALS
Qualifying singles will be played on Thursday at 10 a.m. while seeded singles players and the doubles teams will begin play on Friday.

LAST TIME OUT
- Quinnipiac earned two victories on Saturday in Hamden, sweeping Rider, 7-0, in MAAC play before topping Sacred Heart, 6-1, to end the day. The Bobcats move to 2-0 so far in 2018 with the win.
- Kamilla Nella and Proyfon Lohaphaisan led the way for the Bobcats, both earning four total victories (two singles, two doubles) for the day.
- Payton Bradley and Jennifer Lu both won two singles and one doubles match in total.
- Dominique Vasile won two doubles contests and one singles match.
- Courtney Nash recorded two singles wins, giving her seven singles victories in 2018-19.
- Amy Zammarieh added one singles win and one doubles win.
- Alexandra Mircea and Layla Rodriguez both recorded their second doubles win of the year.
- The Bobcats are coming off their fifth-straight MAAC Championship in 2017-18, posting a perfect 7-0 record in regular season conference action. Quinnipiac finished the 2018 MAAC Championship with two singles victories 15 seconds apart, lifting the program to a 4-1 win over Marist at the Mercer County Tennis Center on April 29, 2018.
- Paula Miller enters her fifth season as the Director of Tennis and Women's Tennis Head Coach in 2018-19, after a successful season in which Quinnipiac women's tennis reached their 11th NCAA Tournament Appearance in the Division I era after winning the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship title for the fifth straight year.
- Miller also earned her fourth consecutive MAAC Coach of the Year Award as she guided the Bobcats to their fifth straight MAAC Regular Season Championship with a fifth straight perfect year in the MAAC.
- The Bobcats went 7-0 in the regular season before claiming two more wins in the MAAC Tournament, to improve to a perfect 47-0 against league opponents since joining the MAAC in 2013-14.
- Sophomore Dominique Vasile (Bingham Farms, MI) returns to the Bobcats after an impressive freshman year. She was named 2017-18 MAAC Player of the Year and MAAC Rookie of the Year, and was selected to the First-Team All-MAAC team at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles. She finished 17-5 in singles last year, leading the program in win percentage.
- The reining MAAC Championship Most Outstanding Performer Jennifer Lu (Cypress, CA) returns for her senior year with the Bobcats. Lu posted a team-high 20 wins in singles (20-14) and a team-best 18 wins in doubles (18-13) in 2017-18, earning All-MAAC First Team status at No. 2 singles.
- Proyfon Lohaphaisan (Santa Clara, CA) also returns for her senior year in 2018-19 after posting 34 total wins last season. She went 19-11 in singles play and 15-10 in doubles action, earning First Team All-MAAC status at No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles.
- Sophomore Courtney Nash (Andover, Mass.) was a First-Team All-MAAC performer at No. 6 singles last year, finishing with a 17-8 mark in singles play.
- Sophomore Payton Bradley (Downington, PA) was named First-Team All-MAAC for No. 3 singles, compiling 25 total wins in 2017-18.
- Layla Rodriguez (Rancho Santa Margarita) was named to the All-MAAC First Team in No. 4 singles, earning 15 singles wins and 15 doubles wins last year.
