HAMDEN, Conn. - With Carly Fabbri and Aryn McClure combining for 50 points, the Quinnipiac women's basketball team was able to defeat the Rider Broncs, 73-66, on Monday evening at the TD Sports Center.

The win was Quinnipiac's eighth in a row as the Bobcats move to 7-0 in MAAC play with a win before hitting the road to take on Monmouth on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Fabbri led the way, netting a career-high 28 points, while McClure scored a season-high 22 points.

Carly Fabbri (Stratford, Connecticut) led the way with a career-high 28 points, eclipsing her previous career-high of 20 points which she scored in a win over Central Michigan earlier this season.
Fabbri went 10-13 from the field, including 4-5 from beyond the three-point line.
Aryn McClure (Springfield Gardens, New York) scored a season-high 21 points in the win, surpassing her previous season-high of 18 points which she scored against Central Michigan earlier this season.
McClure's highest scoring outputs have both come against Rider as she scored a career-high 28 points against the Broncs in the 2017 MAAC Tournament championship game.
After a back-and-forth first quarter, Quinnipiac found itself trailing 19-16 heading into the second quarter.
Fabbri scored eight of her career-high 28 points in the first quarter, including going 2-2 from three.
Quinnipiac opened the second quarter with a 9-0 run in the first 2:45 to take a 25-19 lead.
After Rider took a 31-29 lead late in the second quarter, the Bobcats were able to close the final 2:23 of the half with an 8-0 run to take a 37-31 lead into halftime.
Quinnipiac took the lead for good after a McClure three-pointer put the Bobcats up 34-31 with 1:38 remaining in the first half.
After a back-and-forth third quarter, the Bobcats held a narrow 54-52 lead into the fourth quarter.
McClure scored eight of her 21 points in the third quarter to pace Quinnipiac.
After Rider cut the Bobcats' lead to 58-57, Quinnipiac used a 10-0 run to take a commanding 68-57 lead with 3:12 remaining in the fourth.
