HAMDEN, Conn. - Despite a slow start, the Quinnipiac women's basketball team was able to use a second-half comeback to defeat the Marist College Red Foxes, 62-56, on Thursday morning at the TD Bank Sports Center

The win was Quinnipiac's sixth in a row as the Bobcats move to 5-0 in MAAC play with the victory. Jen Fay scored nine of her game-high 19 points in the fourth quarter, Aryn McClure added a double-double and Edel Thorton scored 10 points, including the go-ahead layup with less than two minutes remaining in regulation

Jen Fay (Lynbrook, New York) led the way for the Bobcats with 19 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Paula Strautmane (Riga, Latvia) added seven points, five rebounds, four assists and tied her career-high of six blocks in the win.
The Bobcats were slow out of the gates as Marist went on an 10-2 run in the game's opening six minutes.
Quinnipiac was able to go into the second quarter down 12-7 after Taylor Herd (Quakertown, Pennsylvania) knocked down a three-pointer at the buzzer.
After being down 10-2, the Bobcats responded with a 15-8 run to cut the deficit to one (18-17) with 5:02 left in the first half.
Six different Quinnipiac players scored on the run, with Chiara Bacchini (Parma, Italy) leading the way with six points after knocking down back-to-back threes to cap the run.
Quinnipiac took its first lead of the game with 8:23 remaining in the third quarter, after McClure nailed a baseline jumper to put the Bobcats up 33-32.
After Quinnipiac took its first lead of the game, the Red Foxes responded with a 10-2 run of their own to go up 42-35 with 2:52 remaining in the third quarter.
The Bobcats closed the third quarter on a 9-1 run, capped by a Fay jumper with five seconds left to take a 44-43 lead into the fourth quarter.
After Marist tied the game at 56-56 with 1:57 to go in regulation, the Bobcats closed the game with a 6-0 run to win 62-56.
Quinnipiac took the lead for good after Thorton scored on a layup to put the Bobcats up 58-56 with 1:47 left in the fourth quarter.
Quinnipiac scored 19 points off 16 Marist turnovers.
