Quinnipiac Women's Golf Completes First Round Of Hartford Hawks Women's Invitational

BLOOMFIELD, Connecticut – Quinnipiac sat in third place at the conclusion of play for the first round of the Hartford Hawks Women's Invitational, which was suspended due to darkness with four teams still set to complete their first round.

As a team, Quinnipiac shot a 317 and were led by juniors Estephania Morales (Caracas, Venezuela) and Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) who both shot a 78 (+6) for the first 18 holes at Gillette Ridge in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Freshman Queenie Lai (Hong Kong, China) shot an 80 (+8) while Alexandra Sazhin (New Fairfield, Connecticut) turned in an 81. Last week's top finisher Luciana Tobia-Palza (La Paz, Bolivia) shot an 85 (+13).

While a majority of the field completed the first round, student-athletes from Long Island, Fairfield, Holy Cross and La Salle will complete their first round in the morning. The second round of play is scheduled to begin at approximately 10 a.m.
