NOTES
- Borowiec struck in the early going as Jess Gargan (Dublin, Ireland) beat her defender off a throw-in and dribbled into the box on the far side. Gargan spotted an opening as both Borowiec and Nadya Gill (Toronto, Ontario) were open in the box but Borowiec called off Gill and smashed home the first goal scored in the new stadium in just the seventh minute of play
- Quinnipiac quickly added an insurance marker in the 13th minute of play as a combination of passes started with Gill in the midfield who hit Kelsey Goldring (Armonk, New York) with a through ball heading into the box. Goldring carried in and her shot beat the keeper but was rolling wide of the target until Pelletier ran down the shot with a diving strike that made it 2-0 Bobcats
- Setting the tone early, Quinnipiac put a stranglehold on the match, falling back into a very defensive-minded approach that severely limited the Black Knights' chances to score throughout the match
- The lone blip came in the 39th minute as Army West Point's Brianna Nicholas ran through the teeth of the Bobcat defense and was sent in on a breakaway but Myszewski smartly came off her line and made a diving stop to preverse the 2-0 lead heading into halftime
- Army West Point outshot the Bobcats 11-3 in the second half of play but only two of those shots landed on-target and both were not quality scoring chances
- The shot totals for each team (Army 16, QU 6) was almost identical to the total put forth in Quinnipiac's 3-0 loss to Drexel (Drexel 15, QU 5) only the result this time around was much different
- Myszewski's five-save clean sheet gives her four shutouts in 14 career starts
- Borowiec already has tied her single-season career high in goals as her tally today was her second on the season (tied with Gill for the team-lead)
- The Bobcats started a new back line for the third straight game to start the season as Emma Greco (Burlington, Ontario) started at center back, played the full 90 minutes and posted Quinnipiac's first clean sheet of the season alongside fellow center back Kylie Lance (Stow, Massachusetts) and fullbacks Katrina Friedman (Syosset, New York) and Mackenzie Tibball (West Hartford, Connecticut)
- This marked the first clean sheet posted by the Bobcats in a home opener since defeating Vermont, 1-0, back in the 2014 season
- The Bobcats drew a huge crowd of 527 in the first-ever game played in the new stadium
