BACK IN ACTION
The Quinnipiac women's tennis team returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 11, to take on the Seton Hall Pirates at the North Haven Health & Racquet Club at 6 p.m.
LAST TIME VS SETON HALL
The last time the Bobcats took on the Pirates, Quinnipiac fell 6-1 at the Murray Hill Fitness and Tennis Center. Sophia Dzulynsky '12 and Sitilia Rencheli (Sarasota, Florida) improved to 2-0 as a doubles team at the time following their 6-3 victory.
SCOUTING THE PIRATES
Seton Hall comes into the weekend with a 2-1 record, and have yet to play any matches in Big East play. The Pirates lost their season opener against Princeton 5-3, but have bounced back to win two straight matches against Binghamton and Army West Point, 5-0 and 6-1.
LUCKY No. 13
In the Bobcats Spring opener against UMass, Sydney Young (Austin, Texas) picked up two victories for Quinnipiac, giving her 125 wins for her career, which is 13th all-time in program history. Young's two wins also gives her the team lead in wins with 24 on the season.
MAAC MONSTERS
In the Bobcats' two MAAC dual matches, they have gone 18-0 in competition. The team has posted a 12-0 record in singles play against MAAC opponents and 6-0 in doubles competition.
DUAL EXPERTS
In dual matches this season, the Bobcats boasts a 21-9 (.700) record in singles play and 10-5 (.667) record in doubles play.
DOMINANT DUOS
The Bobcats own a 47-16 (.746) record in doubles play this season. The duo of Rachel Horton (Stamford, Connecticut) and Young leads the team in wins with 15. However, the team of Layla Rodriguez (Rancho Santa Margarita, California) and Rencheli sit in second with 10 wins.
ALL THEY DO IS WIN
As the team heads into the weekend, Young leads the team in overall wins with 24. However, the Bobcats have three players tied for the team lead in wins. Horton is second on the team with 23 wins and Rodriguez narrowly trails with 22 wins. However, Rodriguez is the team-leader in singles wins on the season with nine. Jennifer Lu (Cypress, California), Young and Horton are all tied for second in singles wins with eight on the season.
STREAKING BOBCATS
Multiple Bobcats own an above .500 record in their last 10 singles matches. Rodriguez leads the way with an 8-2 record in her last 10 singles matches, while, Young and Horton both hold a 7-3 record in their last 10. Proyfon Lohaphaisan (Santa Clarita, California), Nicole Katzarkov (Coral Gables, Florida), and Lu have earned six victories each.
