QU Women's Basketball Wins Fifth-Straight, Defeats Providence 62-36

HAMDEN, Conn. - Junior forward Paula Strautmane (Riga, Latvia) led the way with a 15 points and five steals as the Quinnipiac women's basketball team defeated the Providence Friars, 62-36 on Wednesday evening at the TD Bank Sports Center.
The win was Quinnipiac's fifth in a row as the Bobcats open a short two-game home stand with a win before taking on Princeton University on Saturday before taking a week break for finals. Jen Fay (Lynbrook, New York) added nine points and totaled a career-high 15 rebounds. Taylor Herd (Quakertown, Pennsylvania) tied her career-high in points with 10 and Jaden Ward (Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin) chipped in nine points, a new career-high.
