RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Red-shirt junior Jen Fay (Lynbrook, New York) led the way with a double-double, scoring a career-high 32 points, while adding 10 rebounds and a career-high four blocks as the Quinnipiac women's basketball team defeated the Manhattan Jaspers, 80-64, on Sunday evening at Draddy Gymnasium.

The win was Quinnipiac's third in a row as the Bobcats move to 2-0 in MAAC play with a win before heading home to take on Niagara on Thursday at 7 p.m. Paula Strautmane (Riga, Latvia) added 13 points, three assists and three rebounds in the win.

The victory was the Bobcats' fourth road win of the season, Quinnipiac finished last season with 11 road victories.
The win over Manhattan was Quinnipiac's 12th-straight win against a MAAC opponent dating back to last season.

Despite falling behind as much as six in the second quarter, the Bobcats went on a 15-9 run over the final 6:40 of the half to knot the contest at 36-36.
Four different Quinnipiac players scored on the run, with Fay leading the way with scoring seven of the 15 points.
The Bobcats took the lead for good with 1:18 remaining in the third quarter after Paula Strautmane (Riga, Latvia) scored a layup to give Quinnipiac a 51-49 lead.
Strautmane's layup sparked a 24-4 run which was capped by a Carly Fabbri (Stratford, Connecticut) three-pointer with 4:01 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Five different Bobcats scored during the run with Fay and Strautmane leading the charge, scoring seven points apiece.
During the run, Quinnipiac held Manhattan to 1-7 shooting.
Quinnipiac only turned the ball over twice in the second half.
