HAMDEN, Conn. - Junior Aryn McClure (Springfield Gardens, New York) led the way with 13 points, eight assists and six rebounds as the Quinnipiac women's basketball team defeated the Siena Saints, 68-54, to open MAAC play on Thursday evening at the TD Bank Sports Center.

The win was Quinnipiac's second in a row as the Bobcats open MAAC play with a win before traveling to take on Manhattan on Sunday at 2 p.m. Carly Fabbri (Stratford, Connecticut) added 13 points and four assists, while Jen Fay (Lynbrook, New York) chipped in 11 points and six rebounds.

The victory is Quinnipiac's second-consecutive.
The victory was the Bobcats' fourth home win of the season, Quinnipiac finished last season with 12 home victories.
The win over Siena was Quinnipiac's 11th-straight win against a MAAC opponent dating back to last season.
Junior Aryn McClure (Springfield Gardens, New York) led the way with 13 points, eight assists and six rebounds.
After scoring a career-high 20 points in Quinnipiac's last outing against Central Michigan, senior Carly Fabbri (Stratford, Connecticut) followed up that performance with 13 points and four assists in the win over Siena.
Edel Thorton (Guarranabraher, Ireland) recorded four steals in the win, one shy of tying her career-high.
Quinnipiac opened the game on an 10-4 run in the first 4:20 of the contest.
Jen Fay (Lynbrook, New York) and McClure scored or assisted on the Bobcats' first 10 points of the game.
After Quinnipiac took a 12-6 lead, Siena responded with a 7-0 run to take its first lead of the game at 13-12.
After Siena took a 20-19 lead with 7:02 remaining in the second quarter, Quinnipiac closed the half with a 13-0 run.
Quinnipiac held the Saints scoreless over the final seven minutes of the half, giving the Bobcats a 32-20 lead at the break.
Paige Warfel (Chester Springs, Pennsylvania) and Taylor Herd (Quakertown, Pennsylvania) combined for nine of the Bobcats' 13 points during the run.
Despite three early lead changes, Quinnipiac took the lead for good with 6:45 remaining in the second quarter after Warfel scored on a layup to put the Bobcats up 21-20.
Warfel's layup with 45 seconds remaining in the first half gave Quinnipiac a 12-point lead, its largest of the half.
Quinnipiac took its largest lead of the game after Herd knocked down two free throws with 3:20 remaining in the fourth quarter to put the Bobcats up 68-47.
The Bobcats only turned the ball over once in the second half.
