MOUNT PLEASANT, MI. - Senior guard Carly Fabbri (Stratford, Connecticut) led the way with a career-high 20 points, and tallied six assists and four steals as the Quinnipiac women's basketball team defeated Central Michigan, 84-70 on Thursday evening at McGuirk Arena.

The win closes Quinnipiac's non-conference schedule, as the Bobcats will now prepare for MAAC as they will host Siena on Thursday, Dec. 28 at 5 p.m. Aryn McClure (Springfield Gardens, New York) fell just short of a double-double, tallying 18 points and nine rebounds in the win. Edel Thorton (Gurranabraher, Ireland) tallied a career-high 16 points, surpassing her previous career-high of 12.

The win snaps Quinnipiac's two-game losing streak.
The victory was the Bobcats' third road win of the season, Quinnipiac finished last season with 11 road victories.
Senior Carly Fabbri (Stratford, Connecticut) poured in a career-high 20 points, topping her previous career-high of 17 which she scored against Rider on 2/21/16.
Fabbri also chipped in six assists and four steals in the win against Central Michigan.
Aryn McClure (Springfield Gardens, New York) fell just short of a double-double after putting up 18 points and nine rebounds in the win.
Edel Thorton (Gurranabraher, Ireland) tallied a career-high 16 points, surpassing her previous career-high of 12 which she scored against Niagara on 1/26/17.
Both Jen Fay (Lynbrook, New York) and Fabbri reached new career milestones in the win with Fay scoring her 600th career point and Fabbri scoring her 500th.
Five Bobcats recorded double-digit points in the win. The last time Quinnipiac achieved this was in an 84-51 win over Saint Peter's on 12/1/16.
Central Michigan opened the game with an 18-7 run in the first 6:30 of the contest.
The 11-point deficit was Central Michigan's largest of the game.
Despite the slow start, the Bobcats closed the first quarter on a 9-3 run, trailing 21-16 heading into the second quarter.
Quinnipiac went on a 25-9 run from 2:40 remaining in the first quarter to 5:07 remaining in the second quarter.
