
QU Women's Golf Wraps-Up Second Round Of Yale Intercollegiate

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut – The Quinnipiac University women's golf team completed the second round of the 2017 Yale Women's Intercollegiate tournament in 14th place out of 15 teams at The Course at Yale. The Bobcats combined to shoot a 312(+28) for the second round and currently sit at 621 (+53) through 36 holes of the tournament.
Luciana Tobia-Palza (La Paz, Bolivia) sits tied for 25th with 18 holes to go through Saturday's round. Tobia-Palza shot a team-best 76 (+5) for the day to go along with her 74 from Friday for a two-round total of 150 (+8). Estefania Morales (Caracas, Venezuela) continued her consistent play, following her first-round 77 with a second-round 78 for a 155 for the first 36 holes. Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) sat a +14 for the two rounds after shooting a 79 on Saturday to follow her 77 for the first round.
Queenie Lai (Hong Kong, China) and Alexandra Sazhin (New Fairfield, Connecticut) both improved on their first-day scores. Lai shot an 81 on Friday and followed with a two-stroke improvement for a 79 to her a 160 through two rounds. Sazhin carded an 82 for the first round and dropped three strokes over the following 18 holes to shoot a 79.
