THE FIELD
The 2017 Brown Bears Invitational features Quinnipiac, Central Connecticut State, Hartford, Lehigh, Long Island, Siena, Wagner, Fairleigh Dickinson, Seton Hall and the host, Brown.
THE BOBCATS' LAST TIME OUT
Quinnipiac last competed in the Yale Women's Intercollegiate tournament on Oct. 6-7 at the Course at Yale in New Haven, Connecticut. The rain-shortened tournament ended after 36-holes – of a scheduled 54 – with the Bobcats in 14th place.
THE LEADERS
- Luciana Tobia-Palza (La Paz, Bolivia) currently paces the Bobcats with a 76.17 average through six rounds at three tournaments.
- Tobia-Palza broke the program's 18-hole (65) and 36-hole (144) record at the Bobcats' season-opening tournament at the Dartmouth Invitational.
- Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) is close behind with a 76.33 average.
- All six of Kemmling's rounds have been under 80, highlighted by a season-best 73 at the Hartford Invitational in which she finished second out of 68 golfers.
- Kemmling opened the season with back-to-back 151's at the Dartmouth Invitational and the Hartford Invitational, both of which Quinnipiac won.
- Freshman Queenie Lai (Hong Kong, China) checks in with a 77.63 average.
- Lai finished in fourth place with a 153 at the Hartford Invitational.
- Sophomore and reigning MAAC Player and Rookie of the Year Alexandra Sazhin (New Fairfield, Connecticut) is average a scored of 77.50 through six rounds to date.
- Sazhin finished fourth at the Dartmouth Invitational with a 145 after shooting 73-72 for the two-round tournament.
- Senior Estefania Morales (Caracas, Venezuela) checks-in with a career-best 77.67 through the first three tournaments of the season.
- Morales shot a career-best 147 for a tie of seventh place at the Dartmouth Invitational.
