The Quinnipiac women's tennis team returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 28, after the long hiatus since their last dual match on Oct. 12 against Saint Peter's. The Bobcats will be traveling to take on the University of Massachusetts Minutewomen at the Bay Road Club in Amherst, Massachusetts at 12:30 p.m.
SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN
UMass comes into the weekend with a 1-0 record, and have yet to play any matches in A-10 play. In its only dual match of the season, UMass knocked off UConn, 5-2, to earn an early season road win. The Minutewomen are lead in wins by Brittany Collins, who boasts a 16-3 record (10-2 in singles, 6-1 in doubles) so far on the season.
MAAC MONSTERS
In the Bobcats' two MAAC dual matches, they have gone 18-0 in competition. The team has posted a 12-0 record in singles play against MAAC opponents and 6-0 in doubles competition.
DUAL EXPERTS
In dual matches this season, the Bobcats boasts 20-4 (.833) and 9-3 (.750) records respectively.
DOMINANT DUOS
The Bobcats own a 46-14 (.767) record in doubles play this season. The duo of Rachel Horton (Stamford, Connecticut) and Sydney Young (Austin, Texas) leads the team in wins with 14. However, the team of Sitilia Rencheli (Sarasota, Florida) and Layla Rodriguez (Rancho Santa Margarita, California) sit in a close second with 10 wins.

As the team returns from break, the Bobcats have three players tied for the team lead in wins. Horton, Young and Rodriguez all earned 22 wins during the Fall, with freshman Rodriguez owning the most singles wins with nine.

Multiple Bobcats own an above .500 record in their last 10 singles matches. Rodriguez leads the way with an 8-2 record in her last 10 singles matches, while, Young and Jennifer Lu (Cypress, California) both hold a 7-3 record in their last 10. Proyfon Lohaphaisan (Santa Clarita, California) and Lu both earned six victories each.
