QUINNIPIAC | CLARKSON | ST. LAWRENCE

QUINNIPIAC vs. CLARKSON
• Quinnipiac and Clarkson will face each other for the 24th time on Friday night, with the Bobcats entering the contest with an all-time record of 13-7-3 against the Golden Knights.
• The Bobcats are also 6-4-1 in 11 contests at Cheel Arena, including a 3-1-1 record in their last five games on Clarkson's home ice.
• Quinnipiac skated to a 1-1 tie against Clarkson in Hamden last season before topping the Golden Knights, 3-2 in overtime, on Devon Toews' game-winner.

SCOUTING THE CLARKSON GOLDEN KNIGHTS
• Clarkson enters Friday night's game with a record of 3-4-1 overall. After a season-opening home-and-home series split against Vermont, Clarkson followed with a 4-0 win against Merrimack on Oct. 14. Since then, the Golden Knights are 1-3-1 with a 4-3 win at UMass Lowell and a pair of home losses to Minnesota, 4-3 in overtime, and Wisconsin, 5-4, last weekend.
• Senior Jordan Boucher leads Clarkson in goals (6) and points (8) through Clarkson's first eight games of the season.
• Devin Brosseau and Sam Vigeneault lead the team with six assists each and have both scored one goal to date.
• In goal, freshman Jake Kielly is 3-4-1 with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage.

ALL-TIME AGAINST ST. LAWRENCE
• Quinnipiac and St. Lawrence have met 25 times with Quinnipiac owning a 9-13-3 record all-time against the Saints, including a 6-7-1 record at Appleton Arena.
• Quinnipiac and St. Lawrence played to a 0-0 tie in Hamden last season (the first in Saints' history) before SLU pulled out a 4-3 overtime win in Canton in their second meeting.
• Prior to Quinnipiac's loss at Appleton last year, Quinnipiac had won the three previous meetings on St. Lawrence's ice by a combined score of 17-4.

SCOUTING THE ST. LAWRENCE SAINTS
• St. Lawrence got off to a 3-1 start with wins at Penn State and a weekend sweep against New Hampshire and Merrimack, but have failed to get in the win column in their last four games and sit at 3-4-1 on the year.
• Last weekend, St. Lawrence lost to Wisconsin, 5-2, before rolling to a 2-2 tie against Minnesota on the following evening.
• Gavin Bayreuther leads St. Lawrence in assists (7) and points (10) while Joe Sullivan has a team-high four goals to date.
• In goal, Kyle Hayton has seen a majority of the minutes between the pipes and enters the weekend with a record of 3-3-1 with a 3.36 GAA and a .904 save percentage.

ACTIVE CAREER LEADERS
• Tim Clifton's 16 career power play goals rank second among all active NCAA Division I men's ice hockey student-athletes behind Omaha's Austin Ortega (19).
• Clifton also ranks tied for 24th with 75 career points on 34 goals and 41 assists in 123 career games. His 34 career goals rank tied for 20th among active players.
• Clifton's nine game-winning goals rank fifth among active players.
• Clifton is one of 28 players with three or more shorthanded goals for his career.
• Landon Smith is one of four underclassmen (non-seniors) ranked among top 31 active career scorers. Smith's 72 points - on the strength of 28 goals and 44 assists.
• Smith's 44 assists rank tied for 36th among active players.

• Quinnipiac junior Andrew Taverner had tallied a goal and an assist in three of his first five games of the season.
• Taverner is currently tied with Tim Clifton with a team-high three goals and five points.
• For his career, Taverner has totaled 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points in 74 assists.

NOW TEE-ING OFF...RAFFERTY, BROGAN
• Freshman Brogan Rafferty scored his first career goal in the Bobcats' 5-2 win against UConn on Oct. 19 while also adding an assist.
• Rafferty currently leads Quinnipiac in assists (5) and points (6) through is first seven career games.
• He enters the weekend with a goal and four assists in his last four games.

• Sophomore Craig Martin has doubled his career goal output with goals in back-to-back games against Maine on Oct. 15 and UConn on Oct. 19.

WADDYA SAY THERE, CLIFFY?
• Senior captain Connor Clifton hooked up with Andrew Taverner for an assist early in the Bobcats' win against UConn before converting on a power play opportunity for his first goal of the season later in the game.
• Clifton - one goal and two assists in six games - had a point in two of his last three outings before last week's contests at BU and against UMass.

IT'S TIMMY!!!
• Assistant captain Tim Clifton checks-in with a team-leading three goals with a point in three of Quinnipiac's seven games, including multiple points in two of those.
• He's one of five players (Tiefernwerth, Martin, McKernan, Rafferty) with points in back-to-back games.
• Clifton also leads all NCAA Division I forwards with 11 blocked shots to date.

• Quinnipiac sophomore Thomas Aldworth scored on a beauty of a wrap-around against UConn in a 5-2 route on Oct. 19 for his second goal of the season.
• Aldworth has now scored in two of his last five games. Aldorth totaled six goals and seven assists in 32 games as a freshman.

K-DOT-J-DOT
• Senior K.J. Tiefenwerth had a point in four of Quinnipiac's first five games of the season.
• Tiefenwerth entered the season with nine goals and 22 assists for 31 points in 100 career games. Last season, he scored seven times and assisted on 13 more goals.

QUIET LEADER
• Junior defenseman Kevin McKernan has a point in three of his last four games and currently leads the team with a 6.

SPREAD IT AROUND
• 17 of the 21 skaters to dress for Quinnipiac this season have tallied a point, with 16 of those 17 registering multiple points to date.
• Seven of the 17 players to register a point have scored multiple goals.

THAT'S VERY TRUEHL
• Quinnipiac men's ice hockey junior Chris Truehl (Madison, Wisconsin) has been named ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Month, the league office announced on Wednesday, November 2.
• Truehl has started in net during five on Quinnipiac's seven games so far this season, posting a 3-1-1 record. He owns a 2.35 goals-against average so far, making 132 saves for a .917 save percentage.
