QU Women's Golf Completes First Day Of Dartmouth Invitational

HANOVER, New Hampshire - Quinnipiac women's golf junior Nicole Scola (Westerly, Rhode Island) completed the first round of the two-day, 36-hole Dartmouth Invitational tied for 21st place. Quinnipiac sat in ninth place after the first round at Hanover Country Club.
Dartmouth (294, +6) led the 10-team field, followed by Boston University (303, +15), Hartford (310, +22) and Dartmouth's B team (319, +31) followed by Sacred Heart (323, +35) to fill out the top five. Fairfield and Albany (324, +36) slotted in ahead of Central Connecticut State (325, +37) and Quinnipiac (328, +40). Siena (333,+45) finished 10th.
Scola, playing in her first tournament of the 2015-16 season, wrapped up the first day with an 80 (+8) to lead the Bobcats. Freshman Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) and Caitlan Blydenburgh (Castleton, New York) were just behind Scola. Kemmling was tied for 25th with an 81 (+9) while Blydenburgh shot an 82 (+10) for tie of 32nd place.
Jenn Whaley (Farmington, Connecticut) was a few strokes back with an 85 (+13) for a tie of 37th place while Alexa Gentile (Avon, Connecticut) shot an 88 (+16).
Quinnipiac is back on the course on Sunday, Sept. 27 for the final 18 holes of the Dartmouth Invitational at Hanover Country Club.
