Fujita, Bobcats Win Autumn Harvest

Hamden, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's golf team is coming home with two trophies as the Bobcats captured the Autumn Harvest Tournament team title and Sophia Fujita won the individual crown on Tuesday in Pennsylvania.
Sophia Fujita won her first tournament of the season as she finished with a three-round total of 204 (-9). Fujita knocked off a stroke in each round of the tournament. Samantha Galantini finished in fourth place after shooting a 75 (+4) on the final day of competition.
Natalie Spiska had a solid final round, carding at 73 (+2) for the second straight round as she finished in 6th place. Marisa Flores finished two strokes behind Spiska in a tie for 8th place.
Vaidehi Shah and Alexia Egdahl rounded out the Quinnipiac grouping. Shah shot a 73 (+2) on the final day, her second-best round of the tournament. Egdahl finished in a three-way tie for 20th place after compiling a three-round score of 230 (+17).
The Quinnipiac grouping finished the third round with a score of 288, pushing them ahead of Lehigh by one stroke as they captured the tournament crown.

The Bobcats grouping that competed at the SHU Fall Classic in Milford, CT, finished in 5th place out of 15 teams.
Tekla Fine-Lease was the highest finisher for Quinnipiac as she finished in a tie for 9th place. The redshirt first year shot a 73 (+1) on the final day of competition to give her a top-ten finish.
Amy Goddard finished behind Fine-Lease with a three-round total of 234 (+18), which was good for a 13th-place finish. Coming in behind Goddard was Michelle Wong, who finished in a three-way tie for 25th place.
Sandhya Vaikuntam and Mason Egdahl closed out the Quinnipiac grouping at the SHU Fall Classic in 48th and 49th place, respectively.

- Every Bobcat that competed at the Autumn Harvest finished within the top 20 out of 50 total golfers.
- Sophia Fujita finished atop the individual leaderboard after finishing the final round with a score of 67 (-4). Fujita carded a 69 (-2) in the first round, a 68 (-3) in the second round, and a 67 (-4) in the final round.
- With her three-round total of 204 (-9), Fujita now holds the program record for the best 54-hole total in Quinnipiac women's golf history.
- Samantha Galantini's best round of the tournament was in round two, where she shot a 69 (-2).
- Natalie Spiska shot a 73 in the second and third rounds to give her a three-round total of 222 (+9).
- Marisa Flores finished two strokes behind Spiska, with a tournament total of 224 (+11). Flores had her best round on day one as she shot a 72 (+1) in the second round.
- Vaidehi Shah shot a 73 (+2) in the final round to give her a three-round total of 229 (+16).
- Alexia Egdahl's second round was her best round of the Autumn Harvest as she carded a 74 (+3).
- Tekla Fine-Lease had her best round in the final day of the SHU Fall Classic as she carded a 73 (+1), her best round so far this season.
- In her first tournament of the season, Amy Goddard recorded her lowest 18-hole score of her collegiate career with a 76 (+4) in the final round.
- Michelle Wong recorded a Top-25 finish with a three-round score of 239 (+23).
- Both Mason Egdahl and Sandhya Vaikuntam wrapped up their first tournament action of the season at the SHU Fall Classic.
