The Quinnipiac field hockey team is back in action on Friday, Oct. 3 when it travels to University Park, Pennsylvania to take on Penn State in a non-conference match-up at 6 p.m. at the Penn State Field Hockey Complex. Quinnipiac enters the game at 3-7
overall with wins in two of their last three games while Penn State enters the weekend with a record of 4-5 overall.
The Bobcats' Last Time Out
Quinnipiac is coming off a 4-3 win against Vermont on Sunday, Sept. 27 in Hamden, Conn. Three different Bobcats scored, led by a two-goal outing from Lauren Belskie while Haley Swartz and Angie King both scored for the Bobcats.
All-Time Against Penn State
Quinnipiac and Penn State have faced each other twice all-time, with the Nittany Lions taking both games. Last year, Quinnipiac lost to Penn State, 4-0, in Hamden, Conn. while Penn State won on their home field, 6-1, in 2011.

- Brook Birosik and Aurelia Meijer have both tallied a team-leading nine points to date, while Birosik and Shay Cannon have each scored a team-best four goals to date.
- Meijer currently leads Penn State with three assists to go along with her three goals for the year.
- Jenny Rizzo has logged every minute in goal for Penn State, posting a 4-5 record with a .717 save percentage and a 1.78 goals-against average.
- Penn State opened the year with losses at Old Dominion (2-1) and Virginia (4-3, OT) before back-to-back wins at home against Temple (2-0) and at Bucknell (3-1). After back-to-back losses to California (3-2, OT) and Michigan (3-1), the Nittany Lions knocked off Kent State (2-1) and Michigan State (6-1) before falling to Ohio State (2-1, 2OT) in their last outing.

- Quinnipiac defensive whiz Angie King sits atop the NCAA Division I Defensive Saves rankings with a national-best 11 to date.
- King's 16 career defensive saves rank second among all active NCAA Division I players, trailing Indiana's Sydney Supica's 17.
- For the month of September, King totaled two goals and an assist as well as an NCAA Division I leading 10 defensive saves.
- Quinnipiac's single-game, single-season and career defensive saves leader, King had a defensive save in seven of eight games for the month including a six-game streak.
- Against Yale in a 2-1 win at home, King scored once and also had two defensive saves.
- Against Maine, she had a program-record three defensive saves.
- She also had a goal and one defensive save against Vermont in a 4-3 win at home.

- Sophomore Lauren Belskie joins King among the national defensive saves leaders with three to date, good for sixth among all NCAA Division I field hockey players.
- Belskie's two-goal afternoon against Vermont were a career-high and gave her three in her last two games after she also scored against Hofstra.
They See Me Rollin'
- Quinnipiac mustered just seven goals in its first seven games, but have exploded for nine goals across its last three outings, of which they are 2-1.
- Lauren Belskie (3 goals), Savanna Reilly (2g, 1a), Haley Swartz (2 goals), Meghan McCullough (1g, 1a) and Michelle Federico (2 a) have paced the Bobcats in the stretch.
