
QU Women's Golf Completes Final Day Of Yale Intercollegiate In 16th Place

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut – The Quinnipiac University women's golf team compiled its best score of the three-round, 54-hole Yale Women's Intercollegiate at The Course at Yale in New Haven, Connecticut on Sunday. The Bobcats carded a 323 for the day, nixing nine strokes from its previous day's total. The Bobcats finished at +141, 993 (338-332-323) to finish in 16th place. The Bobcats' 993 is the third lowest 54-hole total in program history while it's 323 on Sunday is the sixth-best 18-hole round in program history.
Nicole Scola (Westerly, Rhode Island) turned in her top round of the fall, carding a +1, 72 to finish the three rounds at 231 (+18) for a tie for 30th place. Heading into the final day, Scola was off her pace from last year's Yale Invitational - in which she shot a 54-hole program record 229 (+16) - but rebounded with a strong final round at the 2014 event to card the second-best 54-hole score in Quinnipiac history. Additionally, Scola's 72 on Sunday is also the second best 18-hole round in Quinnipiac history.
Freshman Estefania Morales (Caracas, Venezuela) continued her strong play, once-again improving on her previous day's score to finish at +7 for the day at 78. Morales finished at +28, totaling a 241 (81-82-78) for the 54-hole tournament – good for a tie of 63rd place.

Emily Ribbins (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands) shaved three strokes off her second round score to finish at +45 (258—87-86-85) for 83rd place. Alexa Gentile (Avon, Connecticut) finished one spot behind Ribbins in 84th place after finishing at +50 (263—90-85-88) while Angelica Muscatelli (North Providence, Rhode Island) finished in 86th place.
Yale won its own tournament, finishing five strokes ahead of Harvard. Xavier, Seton Hall, Penn, Boston University, Rutgers, Brown, Boston College and West Florida filled in the remaining top 10 spots, respectively. LIU Brooklyn, Dartmouth, Albany, Central Connecticut State and Sacred Heart finished ahead of Quinnipiac.
The Bobcats return to action when it competes in the Delaware State Invitational on Oct. 5-6 at Queenstown Harbor Golf Course in Queenstown, Maryland.
