Double
Trouble
Against
URI on Sept. 20, Velaj scored both of Quinnipiac's goals in the 2-2
tie. Her first came in the 50th minute of play to even the game at
1-1. Velaj collected her own rebound off the Rams' goalkeeper and
flicked it into the right side of the net for her third goal of the
year. She struck again in the 78th minute on a breakaway from
center field, stopping ten yards out to lob a high shot over the
keeper.

Freshman
Shauna Edwards (Southington, Conn.) recorded her first collegiate
assist in the game against URI on Sept. 20. The midfielder located
Velaj at center field and dished a quick pass up for the breakaway

three.
