Nadya Gill was named the MAAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Aug. 31 after a torrid start to her young career. Gill's first week was one for the record books as she scored two of Quinnipiac's four goals during the week, including both game-winning goals for the Bobcats. She scored the game-winning goal in overtime against the Holy Cross Crusaders in the season-opener to give the Bobcats a 2-1 victory before scoring the game-winner with 17:03 remaining in the second half at Delaware St. in a 2-0 victory. The history continued for Gill, as she is the first Bobcat freshman since Jess Fontaine to score two game-winning goals in the 2013 season and is the first freshman since Furtuna Velaj in the 2008 season to record at least two goals and two game-winning goals in her first two career games as a Bobcat.
