Ariana Launie enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Quinnipiac women's tennis team after enjoying a four-year career with the Bobcats.
As a member of the program, Launie is one of 19 players all-time to win at least 100 matches in her career, going 103-77 overall with a 53-42 record in singles and 50-35 record in doubles.
Launie was a three-time All-Conference honoree as she was named to the All-NEC Second team in singles in 2012-13, All-MAAC First Team at No. 6 singles in 2013-14 and All-MAAC Second Team at No. 6 singles in 2014-15.
With the Bobcats, Launie was a two-time MAAC Champion as the Quinnipiac women's tennis team won back-to-back regular season and conference tournament championships to advance to the NCAA Tournament in each of her final two years with the program.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Milton, Massachusetts, Launie will be taking classes to earn her Master's Degree in Secondary Education at Quinnipiac. In the fall, Launie will be interning at North Haven High School and in the winter she will complete her student teaching, also at North Haven High School.
