As a Junior in 2017-18:
- Played in all 34 games, including three starts
- Averaged 5.0 points
- Earned the start and had 14 points in an NCAA Opening Round win over Miami
- Had a pair of three-pointers in a MAAC Championship win over Marist
- Set a new career high with 16 points in a road win over Central Michigan (12/21), including a career-best four three-pointers.

- A starting point guard for the U18 Ireland National Team, Thornton has long been on the scene for the Irish National Teams
- Thornton led Ireland and ranked 7th at the 2014 European U18 Championships with 15.6 points per game while shooting 47.9 percent from the floor (8th at Euro Championships)
- Also was a defensive force at the 2014 Euro U18 Championships averaging 3.1 steals (4th at Euro Championships) and shot the ball well from deep 36.8 percent (13th)
- Playing for the club team Brunell based out of Cork, Ireland, Thornton was the youngest player in the Women’s Premier League for over two seasons after her rookie year in 2011
- A proven big game performer, Thornton contributed a massive 35-point night to lead Brunell to the 2013 Ireland U20 Women’s National Cup Championship
- The 2013 Ireland U20 Women’s National Cup title started a string of three straight U20 National Cup Championships for Thornton’s Brunell squad
- Thornton not only led Brunell to victory in each U20 National Cup Championship, she was named a three-time MVP capped by a 32-point performance to lead Brunell past Glanmire, 71-33, in the 2015 Championship
