Emma Way enters her second season as a volunteer assistant with the Quinnipiac field hockey program after she joined the staff in July 2019.
Prior to coming to Quinnipiac, Way was an outstanding four-year player with the Michigan Wolverines from 2015-18.
Way was named the 2018 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and was selected to the NFHCA All-America First Team. She also earned NFHCA All-Great Lakes Region First Team honors and was an All-Big Ten First Team selection.
As a senior, Way had a standout season with career-highs of 19 goals and 43 points as she made 21 starts for the Wolverines. As one of three captains on the team, Way guided Michigan to 14-7 record reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
In 2017, Way started 23 of the Wolverines 24 games and was an NFHCA All-West Region Second Team selection as Michigan reached the NCAA National Semifinals. She was second on the team with 36 points on 13 goals and 10 assists.
In her career, Way played in 86 games and totaled 42 goals and 21 assists for 105 points.
Way completed her bachelor's degree in American Culture at Michigan in 2019 and will pursue a master's degree while coaching at Quinnipiac.
