Was a four-year letterman in baseball and basketball and a two-year member of the football team at Spaulding H.S. (Rochester, N.H.)...as a senior was named the Gatorade N.H. Player of the Year...also garnered the Louisville Slugger N.H. Player of the Year...was a two-time 1st All-State selection and earned 2nd team All-State one year...was named Foster[apos]s Daily Democrat Dream Team Player of the Year...selected Quinnipiac over Stony Brook, UConn, Vermont, and Rhode Island.
