DOVER, DE – Quinnipiac women's volleyball dropped a non-conference matchup against Lehigh on Friday afternoon on the first day of the DSU Invitational.
The Bobcats took the first set 25-23, but Lehigh won each of the next three to earn the match victory.
Sila Yildiz led Quinnipiac's offensive attack with 13 kills, while Klara Olszewska registered 32 assists.

Set 1: Quinnipiac jumped out to an early lead, taking the first set 25-23. Sahra Ozbiltekin recorded five kills in the opening set, while Sila Yildiz tallied four. Although Lehigh built an early 9-3 lead, the Bobcats answered with a mid-set surge to tie things at 17-17 following four consecutive points. Ozbiltekin's kill earned QU set point at 24-23, and a Lehigh attack error clinched the set win for the Bobcats.

Set 2: Lehigh led 9-4 early in the second set before the Bobcats fought back to tie the score at 11, 12, 13, and 14. The Mountain Hawks then scored four straight points from the 14-14 tie and never looked back en route to leveling the match at 1-1.

Set 3: Lehigh held a narrow 13-12 advantage midway through the third set before closing on a 12-8 run to secure the 25-20 set win. Alyssa Fingall led Lehigh with four kills in the set, while Sila Yildiz matched her with four kills for Quinnipiac.

Set 4: Mary Massias tallied four kills in the final set to spark the Mountain Hawks to victory. Lehigh built a 10-4 lead early in the set and sealed the match win with four straight points at the end.

Sila Yildiz registered 13 kills on 21 attacks, setting a new career high early in her Bobcats career.

Klara Olszewska's total of 32 assists fell just one shy of her career mark (33 assists on 9/5/25 at Towson).

Olszewska and Didar Bulbul led the defense side with nine digs each.

Sahra Ozbiltekin added 11 kills and eight digs.

The Bobcats registered 16 kills and a .344 hitting percentage in the opening set.

The Bobcats will square off against Delaware State and NJIT to finish off the DSU Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 5.
