CHESTNUT HILL, MA – Quinnipiac women's volleyball opened up the 2026 campaign on Saturday afternoon, falling by the final score of 3-0 against Air Force at the Chestnut Hill Invitational.

GAME REWIND
- The Falcons took the first set 26-24 in a tight battle. Quinnipiac led 14-8 in the first set, then Air Force went on a 12-6 run to tie things 20-20. The Bobcats took a 24-23 lead after a Vittoria Tonelli kill, then Air Force finished on a 3-0 run to close out the set.
- The Bobcats took an early 4-2 lead, then Air Force evened things 5-5 during the second set. The Falcons went on an 11-6 run after to open things up in the second set. Air Force ended up taking the second stanza 25-18.
- Air Force won the third set 25-16. A Sahra Ozbiltekin kill led the Bobcats to an early 5-2 lead, then The Falcons went on a 5-2 run of their own to even the set. Air Force closed the set on a 4-1 run to clinch the match.
- Sophomore Sahra Ozbiltekin led Quinnipiac with 12 kills during the first action of the regular season, contributing 13.0 total points. She also recorded seven digs in the contest.
- Vittoria Tonelli added six kills, as did Azra Ozbiltekin.
- Giulia Ragusa registered five kills during her first collegiate contest.
- Sophia Gisslen led Quinnipiac with 24 assists on the day. She also recorded seven digs.
- Carola Negron Diaz led the Bobcats with 16 digs in the contest.
